The Legendary Majek Fashek was a source of inspiration to me and my career. I remembered how I used to sing most of his song When I was growing up, and how my classmates cherished and nicknamed me after him. I was very proud that he was from the Igodan's family in benin city, which I am related partiality related to as well.
Singing this Tribute song to him now is not even enough, due to the impart his music had on me and how it inspires me till this very day. Majek was a true messager and teacher, not only for our generation, but for generations to come. I can only compare his awesome prophetical messages to that of Bob Marley.
I am so grateful to God for his life because he truly blessed us with his music. I also appreciate every member of his immediate family. May God Almighty grant them the fortitude to bear this irreplaceable lost. And for us his fans and students, we say adieu Majek Fashek. You live forever through your music. Rest Well our great Legend.
