NOWA MAKES CASE FOR SCHOOLS, MARKETS, SHOPS...


 At the inaugural / maiden meeting of the  newly elected National Executive Officers of the Naval Officers Wives Association (NOWA)  at the NOWA Secretariat,Abuja on the 19th July, 2023, evaluation and critical analysis of tasks ahead especially in areas like the markets, shops and NOWA Schools were the main focal points.

The striving need to turn around things speedily, efficiently and swiftly were looked at, staying ahead of the curve to lead and excel in the various set goals as outlined from the meeting. 

Without much ado as achieving these goals were not an option,these women who are out to transform NOWA to an enviable height swung into action organizing, prioritising the tasks and adopting the performance approach orientation.

The goals were clearly defined , methodologies on how and when to serve and achieve effective systemic results within a stipulated period were laid out.

Armed with their well thought out plan that same day; their first point of call was to the Naval Headquarters Abuja on a Courtesy visit to the Chief of Naval Staff Rear Admiral Emmanuel Ikechukwu Ogalla being led by our amiable NOWA National President Mrs Ijeoma Ogalla and her able Vice President Mrs Zainab Akpan.

The next day 20th August 2023, the women took a tour of the NOWA Secondary and Primary school karshi Abuja. Thereafter, engaging the teachers, non academic Staff, the Head teachers of both schools for a viable meeting using their feedback to further validate and improve the teams assessment with a view to achieving maximum productivity facilitating a well organized, competent and successful way without wasting much time.

The NOWA Vice President Mrs Zainab Akpan was flagged by the Head teachers of the school and the students quarter guard team.


Following their findings and survey,  it was agreed unilaterally that the focus should be  results oriented, outcomes, processes and performance engaging the Exco's of Parents Teachers Association (PTA) listening to parties parties concerned for effective communication and collaborations on the best ways to move the schools and the students forward.


We can only expect the best as they are capable and determined to work leaving no stones unturned in achieving great development. With the support of the Chief of Naval Staff, PSO's and CPPLANS.
